Job Description

Shivam Udyog, an established interior design and turnkey project execution firm based in Kolkata, is looking for a skilled and detail\-oriented **2D Interior Designer / AutoCAD Draftsperson** to join our design team.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical drafting skills, a good understanding of interior detailing, and the ability to prepare accurate working drawings for residential, commercial, hospitality, and office interior projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D interior drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop furniture layouts, flooring layouts, reflected ceiling plans (RCP), electrical layouts, and plumbing layouts.
• Prepare detailed working drawings for carpentry, modular furniture, kitchens, wardrobes, wall panelling, and other interior elements.
• Create sectional drawings, elevations, and detailed construction drawings for site execution.
• Coordinate with senior designers, architects, contractors, and site supervisors.
• Revise drawings based on site measurements, design modifications, and client requirements.
• Prepare detailed drawings for material specifications and execution.
• Ensure accuracy in dimensions, detailing, and technical specifications.
• Maintain organised drawing files and meet project deadlines.
• Assist the project execution team with technical drawings and site\-related clarifications.

Required Skills \& Qualifications

• **AutoCAD 2D proficiency is mandatory.**
• Strong knowledge of interior working drawings and technical detailing.
• Good understanding of furniture construction, joinery, materials, and interior finishes.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior drawings.
• Knowledge of site measurements and execution requirements.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

• **Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience** in interior design drafting.
• Candidates with experience in residential and commercial interior execution drawings will be preferred.
• Experience in modular furniture and bespoke furniture detailing will be an added advantage.
