3D Designer - Mechanical / Product

• *Job description:**

We are searching for a creative and results\-oriented designer, to help us design versatile 3D models for a wide range of creative and industrial applications. From holders, drone frames, casings, robotic parts, and fixtures to creative projects like 3D printable functional models, miniatures etc.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• Design functional parts such as mounts, enclosures, frames and custom fittings for drones, robots and learning kits
• Prototype and 3D print quickly, test what you made and iterate until it works
• Take parts from idea to working assembly, designing with printing and real\-world use in mind
• Support robotics and drone builds: fit checks, assembly and troubleshooting alongside the team
• Keep tidy design files, notes and a reusable library so the next build starts faster
• Help with lab and field tests, and learn how the whole machine flies, rolls and behaves
• Ideate and Create custom 3D models from sketches/concepts using Fusion 360 (primary), Blender, AutoCAD
• Optimize for fabrciation activaties like CNC, Laser, 3D printing for drones/robotics, and other functional products that can be applicable for both industrial and creative aspects.
• Prototype prints, basic assemblies/tests; iterate based on feedback for fit/function.
• Work with other inhouse artists, engineers and vendors to assist in fabrication or deisgning
• Assist in material selection (carbon fiber, composites) and basic load/stability calculations for lightweight designs across applications.
• Create technical docs, BOMs, and Design Explanatory Documents; support team with documentation.
• Assist team in Prototype assembly, testing and revisions.

**Qualifications**

• Degrees or Work experience does not matter, we will be looking at your portfolio and ability to create print ready models
• Understanding of 3D printing and materials is must, mechanical fundamentals and aerodynamics and materials is a bonus. Must be willing to learn this.
• Adapt across mechanical and creative applications with basic engineering principles.
• Strong understanding of aesthetics and willing to keep updated with best design manufacturing practices
• Familiarity with a wide range of 3D softwares and supports
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
