3D Product Designer

• *About the Role**

We're looking for a creative and hands\-on 3D Product Designer who can take an idea from concept to a physical, printed product. You'll work across the full pipeline — designing and modeling in 3D software, preparing files for production, and bringing designs to life on a 3D printer. This role suits someone who loves both the creative side of product design and the technical satisfaction of seeing their work printed and held in hand.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• Design original products and components using 3D modeling/CAD software.
• Prepare, slice, and optimize models for 3D printing (orientation, supports, tolerances).
• Operate and troubleshoot 3D printers; manage print settings for different materials.
• Iterate on designs based on test prints, fit, and functionality.
• Select appropriate materials based on the product's purpose and finish requirements.
• Maintain a portfolio of design work and document the design\-to\-print process.
• Collaborate with the team on new product ideas and bring fresh, unique concepts to the table.

• *Required Skills \& Experience**

• Proficiency in at least one 3D design tool (e.g., Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Blender, Tinkercad, SketchUp, Rhino, or similar).
• Practical understanding of 3D printing — FDM, resin/SLA, or both.
• Ability to independently design a product from scratch and prepare it for production.
• Working knowledge of common printing materials (PLA, ABS, PETG, TPU, resin, etc.) and their use cases.
• Problem\-solving mindset and attention to detail in tolerances and finishing.

• *Nice to Have**

• A portfolio of past projects taken from 3D software through to a printed product.
• Experience designing a unique or original product (not just printing existing models).
• Interest in a specific design domain (functional parts, prototyping, art/decor, consumer products, etc.).
• Basic post\-processing skills (sanding, painting, assembly).
