3D Reconstruction Engineer (COLMAP & Gaussian Splatting) - Freelancing

For this freelancing role, we are looking for candidates who can start working from **5:00 AM IST onwards**.

Candidates based in **Ahmedabad are preferred**.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• **COLMAP Pipeline Execution:** Run image feature extraction, matching, and sparse 3D reconstruction using COLMAP.
• **Dataset Optimization:** Fine\-tune COLMAP parameters (adjusting for camera models, distortion, and match features) to resolve tracking failures or misalignments.
• **Model Training:** Feed verified COLMAP camera poses into 3D Gaussian Splatting pipelines (such as the original 3DGS source code or Nerfstudio) to train high\-fidelity scenes.
• **Splat Cleanup:** Edit, crop, and optimize the final .ply or .splat files to remove floaters and background noise.

• *Required Skills \& Qualifications**

• **COLMAP Mastery:** Deep technical understanding of **COLMAP** (both GUI and CLI), including feature extraction, exhaustive/vocabulary tree matching, and managing reconstruction errors.
• **3D Gaussian Splatting:** Hands\-on experience training 3DGS models using COLMAP\-generated data directories (cameras.txt, images.txt, points3D.txt).

Pay: Up to ₹1,200\.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 25\.0 per week
