Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced **4G LTE / NB\-IoT Layer\-2 Developer** to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in LTE Layer\-2 protocol development, including **MAC, RLC, and PDCP**, with a solid understanding of LTE/NB\-IoT and 5G NR architectures. This role involves developing protocol stack features, optimizing network performance, debugging complex issues, and collaborating with cross\-functional teams to deliver high\-quality wireless communication solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain LTE/NB\-IoT Layer\-2 protocol features, including **eDRX, PSM, and Coverage Enhancement**.
• Develop and optimize MAC layer scheduling algorithms, resource allocation, and Quality of Service (QoS) mechanisms.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve Layer\-2 protocol issues using logs, traces, and protocol analyzers.
• Collaborate with Layer\-1 and Layer\-3 teams for seamless end\-to\-end feature integration.
• Ensure implementation complies with applicable **3GPP standards (Release 15/16/17/18\)**.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, design documentation, and test planning.
• Improve system throughput, latency, and overall network reliability.
• Support interoperability testing, field testing, and customer issue resolution.

Required Skills \& Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in LTE protocol stack development.
• Strong understanding of **LTE/NB\-IoT** and **5G NR** architecture and protocol stack.
• Hands\-on experience in **LTE Layer\-2 (MAC, RLC, PDCP)** development.
• Good knowledge of **3GPP Release 15/16/17/18** specifications.
• Strong programming skills in **C/C\+\+**.
• Experience with multithreading and concurrent programming.
• Excellent debugging and analytical problem\-solving skills.
• Experience with **Wireshark**, protocol analyzers, and log analysis tools.
• Working knowledge of **Git, Jenkins (CI/CD), and JIRA**.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with hardware\-based testing tools such as **TM500** or **UE Simulators**.
• Familiarity with protocol analysis tools such as **QXDM** and **QCAT**.
• Experience working in Agile software development environments.
