- *Educational Qualification:**
Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B.Tech.) in any branch of Engineering from a recognized University / AICTE\-approved Institution.
OR
Master's Degree (M.E./M.Tech.) in any branch of Engineering from a recognized University.
OR
Master's Degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks from a recognized University, along with relevant experience in Academic Administration in a Higher Educational Institution.
- *Work Experience:**
Minimum two years of experience in Academic Administration, Academic Coordination, Examination Coordination, Student Affairs, or Departmental Administration in Universities, Engineering Colleges, Autonomous Institutions, or Higher Educational Institutions.
Preference will be given to candidates having experience in academic planning, curriculum implementation, accreditation support, ERP\-based academic administration, and coordination with faculty members and students in Engineering Institutions.
Candidates having experience in institutions governed by UGC, AICTE, or State Private Universities shall be preferred.
- *Job Description:**
The Academic Coordinator shall assist the Dean/Principal, Heads of Departments, and other academic authorities in planning, coordinating, monitoring, and administering the academic activities of the School of Technology Management and Engineering, ensuring compliance with the provisions of the Maharashtra State Private Universities Act, the Statutes, Ordinances, and Regulations of SVKM NMIMS Global University, and the guidelines issued by UGC, AICTE, and other statutory bodies.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Coordinate implementation of the Academic Calendar, semester schedules, class timetables, laboratory schedules, and academic activities across all departments.
- Coordinate curriculum delivery, course allocation, workload distribution, and academic planning in consultation with the Dean, Heads of Departments, and faculty members.
- Monitor effective conduct of lectures, practical sessions, tutorials, project work, internships, seminars, and other academic activities.
- Coordinate student registration, course registration, subject selection, attendance monitoring, academic progression, and maintenance of student academic records.
- Maintain academic records relating to:
+ Student Enrollment
+ Course Registration
+ Attendance Records
+ Academic Calendar
+ Faculty Workload
+ Time Tables
+ Student Performance
+ Internship and Project Records
+ Academic Reports
+ Departmental Documentation
- Coordinate with the Examination Cell for internal assessments, practical examinations, end\-semester examinations, result processing, and academic compliance.
- Assist in implementing Outcome\-Based Education (OBE), Choice Based Credit System (CBCS)/NEP framework (where applicable), and continuous academic quality improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate preparation and submission of academic data, reports, and documentation required for:
+ AICTE
+ UGC
+ NAAC
+ NBA
+ NIRF
+ AISHE
+ University Authorities
+ Other Regulatory Bodies
- Assist in organizing Orientation Programmes, Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs), Workshops, Seminars, Expert Lectures, Conferences, Student Induction Programmes, and Academic Events.
- Coordinate meetings of academic committees, including:
+ Board of Studies
+ Departmental Academic Committee
+ Programme Assessment Committee
+ Academic Review Meetings
+ Curriculum Review Meetings
+ Other academic committees constituted by the University
- Prepare academic reports, agenda notes, minutes of meetings, circulars, notices, presentations, and official correspondence related to academic matters.
- Coordinate implementation of ERP\-based academic processes, Learning Management Systems (LMS), student information systems, and digital academic documentation.
- Monitor compliance with University academic regulations, attendance policies, examination eligibility requirements, and academic quality standards.
- Coordinate with faculty members, students, administrative offices, Examination Cell, Library, Training \& Placement Cell, and other University departments for smooth conduct of academic activities.
- Assist in academic audits, departmental inspections, accreditation visits, quality assurance initiatives, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Ensure proper maintenance, digitization, confidentiality, and preservation of academic records, departmental documents, and institutional data.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Dean, Principal, Director, Registrar, Controller of Examinations, or Competent Authority in the interest of the School and the University.
