Job Summary
Firebird Solutions LLP is seeking a detail\-oriented and motivated Accountant to manage day\-to\-day accounting operations, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, and provide accurate financial information to support business decisions. The ideal candidate should possess strong accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting \& Finance
- Maintain books of accounts and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare and process journal entries, payment vouchers, receipts, and invoices.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Taxation \& Compliance
- Ensure timely filing of GST returns and compliance with applicable tax regulations.
- Assist in TDS calculations, deductions, and return filings.
- Maintain statutory records and support compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities during audits and assessments.
Reporting \& Analysis
- Prepare MIS reports and financial statements for management review.
- Monitor expenses and budgets and identify cost\-saving opportunities.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management.
- Support forecasting and financial planning activities.
Documentation \& Controls
- Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
- Assist in inventory accounting and reconciliation, where applicable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications such as CA Inter, CMA Inter, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
- 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience (experience requirements may be adjusted based on company needs).
Skills \& Competencies
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, Zoho Books, SAP, or similar ERP systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem\-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in handling end\-to\-end accounting functions.
- Experience coordinating with auditors and regulatory authorities.
- Exposure to inventory accounting, procurement accounting, or distribution businesses will be advantageous.
