Accountant

• *About the Role**

Maven Marketing Agency is looking for a detail\-oriented and proactive **Accounts Executive** to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day\-to\-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting the finance function through accurate reporting and documentation.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands\-on experience in accounting, taxation, compliance, and financial management within a dynamic and fast\-paced work environment.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• Maintain accurate day\-to\-day accounting records and bookkeeping.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Prepare, file, and reconcile GST returns within prescribed timelines.
• Calculate, deduct, and file TDS returns as per statutory requirements.
• Perform bank reconciliations, vendor reconciliations, and customer ledger reconciliations.
• Generate invoices, payment vouchers, and maintain financial documentation.
• Handle employee reimbursements and expense management.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
• Prepare MIS reports and financial summaries for management review.
• Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and government authorities during audits and assessments.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation laws, and statutory regulations.
• Maintain proper records of financial and statutory documents.
• Support payroll processing and salary\-related documentation.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

• *Required Skills**

• Proficiency in **Zoho Books/Zoho Accounting Software**
• Strong knowledge of:
• GST (Registration, Filing, Reconciliation, and Compliance)
• TDS provisions and return filing
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
• VLOOKUP
• HLOOKUP
• XLOOKUP
• Pivot Tables
• Conditional Formatting
• Data Validation
• Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, problem\-solving, and organisational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.

• *Qualifications**

• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, or Finance.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in Accounts and Finance.
• Experience with accounting software and taxation compliance is preferred.
