Job Overview

Qbay Career is looking for a responsible and detail\-oriented Accountant \& Collection Executive to manage daily accounting activities, maintain financial records, handle customer payment follow\-ups, and ensure timely collection of outstanding payments. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of accounting principles, GST registration procedures, and financial documentation, along with good communication and customer\-handling skills.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting Responsibilities

• Maintain daily accounting records and update financial transactions accurately.
• Prepare and maintain invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other financial documents.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Maintain records of customer payments, outstanding balances, and pending dues.
• Perform bank reconciliation and verify financial transactions.
• Assist with preparing daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
• Maintain proper documentation of bills, expenses, and receipts.
• Monitor cash flow and ensure accurate recording of income and expenses.
• Handle GST\-related documentation and assist with GST registration procedures and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with management and external accountants or tax consultants for accounting and tax\-related matters when required.

Collection Responsibilities

• Contact customers through phone calls, WhatsApp, and other communication channels regarding pending payments.
• Follow up regularly with customers to ensure timely payment collection.
• Maintain and update payment collection records and outstanding balance reports.
• Send payment reminders and communicate payment details clearly to customers.
• Record collected payments and issue receipts or confirmations as required.
• Coordinate with the sales and customer service teams to resolve payment\-related issues.
• Handle customer queries related to invoices, payment schedules, and outstanding amounts professionally.
• Track overdue payments and submit regular collection status reports to management.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers while ensuring timely collections.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping.
• **Knowledge of GST registration procedures is mandatory.**
• Good command of both English and Malayalam.
• Good numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and basic computer applications.
• Ability to maintain accurate financial records and handle confidential information.
• Good communication, negotiation, and customer\-handling skills.
• Ability to follow up with customers professionally and handle payment\-related discussions.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem\-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage accounting tasks and collection follow\-ups efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Previous experience in accounting, billing, accounts receivable, or payment collection will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as Tally or similar tools is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of GST returns, TDS, and other statutory accounting requirements will be an added advantage.
• Freshers with relevant accounting knowledge and strong communication skills may also apply.
