- *A. RoLE SUMMARY**
The Accounts Manager/Lead in a manufacturing company is responsible for overseeing all financial operations related to inventory management—including WIP (Work In Progress), store and stock accounting, product code and PR processes, comprehensive MIS reporting, and GST compliance. This leadership role requires strong expertise in manufacturing finance, regulatory adherence, and cross\-department coordination.
- *B. KEY Position Responsibilities**

- *Key Responsibilities**
- *1\. Inventory \& Stock Management**
· Supervise day\-to\-day accounting for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods stock.
· Ensure accurate stock ledger maintenance: record all stock receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments.
· Lead regular physical stock verification and reconciliation with accounting records.
· Oversee WIP valuation in alignment with manufacturing processes, including costing of materials, labour, and allocated overheads.
· Implement robust internal controls to minimize inventory discrepancies and losses.
· Coordinate with warehouse, production, and stores to ensure accurate material movements.
- *2\. Product Coding \& Purchase Requisition (PR) Management**
· Design and maintain the product coding system across inventory, procurement, and sales.
· Monitor correct mapping of product codes in PRs, purchase orders, and stock documentation.
· Approve and review purchase requisition processes for accuracy and compliance.
· Retain audit trails for all product coding and PR approvals.
- *3\. MIS Reporting and Analytics**
· Prepare monthly and ad hoc MIS reports: inventory turnover, production costing, stock aging, and variance analyses.
· Provide actionable insights from MIS data to management for operational and cost improvement.
· Continuously enhance reporting tools and templates for management review.
- *4\. GST \& Statutory Compliance**
· Oversee timely and accurate preparation and filing of GST returns (GSTR\-1, GSTR\-3B, annual returns, etc.).
· Validate all documentation for input tax credit and reconciliation of GST ledgers with purchase records.
· Guide compliance on reverse charge, e\-way bills, and changes in GST law related to manufacturing.
· Coordinate with auditors and tax authorities during audits, assessments, and responses to notices.
- *5\. Leadership \& Team Coordination**
· Lead and mentor the accounts team handling WIP, stock, PR, and MIS functions.
· Train cross\-functional teams (stores, warehouse, procurement) on ERP usage, stock handling, and compliance procedures.
· Ensure process improvements, drive standardization, and manage internal projects for accounting excellence.
- *6\. Audit \& Process Improvement**
· Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors regarding inventory, GST, and compliance audits.
· Lead implementation of ERP/accounting process enhancements for inventory and compliance.
· Review and update SOPs relevant to inventory control, PR approvals, GST compliance, and reporting.

Facilitate communication with HR Team for smooth monthly payroll

Ensure smooth coordination with external parties for effective tax, bank transactions and other miscellaneous payments
- *D. Qualifications and Experience Requirement**
- *Qualifications**
Qualification \& Certification
· Bachelor's in Commerce/Accounting; CA Inter/ICWA/MBA (Finance) preferred
· Any accounting/finance certification will be a plus
Work Experience
· 5\+ years in manufacturing accounting, with at least 2 in a team lead or manager role.
· Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial analysis
