Overview
The AI Developer II is a hands\-on technical role supporting internal corporate IT initiatives through the design, build, testing, and support of AI\-enabled solutions. This position focuses on practical AI solution development using Microsoft Copilot Studio, OpenAI GPT, Claude, Microsoft AI Builder, and related generative AI tools to improve productivity, automate business processes, enhance self\-service, and reduce manual operational effort.
This role works under the guidance of the Senior Manager of Workplace Engineering while partnering with other team members on projects and initiatives. The AI Developer II is expected to contribute independently to defined AI use cases, support proof\-of\-concepts, build and test AI workflows, and help establish repeatable patterns for safe and effective AI adoption across the corporate environment.
Power Platform technologies such as Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, and Microsoft 365 integrations are important secondary tools used to deliver and support AI\-enabled solutions. The primary focus of this role is AI solution development, including Copilot agents, prompt engineering, structured outputs, AI workflow integration, output validation, and responsible use of generative AI capabilities.
Responsibilities

- Develop Copilot Studio agents, AI assistants, and chatbot experiences that support self\-service, IT operations, knowledge retrieval, workflow automation, and internal productivity use cases.
- Build and refine prompts for summarization, classification, knowledge search, ticket analysis, task prioritization, executive summaries, document understanding, and automated response generation.
- Design prompt patterns and structured outputs, including JSON\-style responses, that can be safely consumed by workflows, approvals, dashboards, or downstream business processes.
- Support agentic workflow patterns such as tool calling, action execution, multi\-step reasoning, human review, and handoff to Power Automate or other business systems.
- Test AI outputs for accuracy, consistency, security, usefulness, usability, and business readiness before production use.
- Troubleshoot AI solution issues, including poor responses, missing context, prompt behavior, permission problems, connector failures, workflow errors, and unexpected agent behavior.
- Partner with team members to integrate AI capabilities into Power Automate workflows, Power Apps, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Dataverse, and other Microsoft 365 services.
- Support AI Builder use cases such as prompt\-based workflows, document processing, classification, extraction, prediction, and model or prompt sharing.
- Assist with responsible AI practices, including privacy, security, data handling, access control, human review, validation, and prompt boundaries.
- Create reusable AI prompt patterns, Copilot Studio topics, agent templates, workflow designs, testing scenarios, and support documentation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements and convert business needs into secure, supportable, and maintainable AI solutions.
- Participate in corporate automation initiatives supporting IT operations, reporting, vulnerability management, service delivery tasks, and operational process improvement.
- Document solution designs, prompts, agent behavior, workflow logic, configuration steps, test results, runbooks, and support procedures for internal use.
- Support production AI and Power Platform solutions through issue analysis, remediation, user feedback collection, and continuous improvement.
- Stay current with emerging AI capabilities across Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI, Claude, Power Platform, and related enterprise AI tools.
