R O L E O V E R V I E W

The Forward Deployed AI Engineer will serve as our client's most senior client\-facing technical role, partnering

directly with CTOs, VPs of Engineering and ML, research leaders, and applied AI teams. The engineer will

design and build the data\-generation, labeling, and evaluation pipelines that power next\-generation AI models,

owning solutions from problem discovery through implementation and delivery. The role also involves shaping

our client's approach to AI solution engineering and mentoring Solution Engineers and Technical Consultants.

K E Y R E S P O N S I B I L I T I E S

Act as the primary technical counterpart to CTOs, VPs of Engineering, and research/engineering leadership

Lead executive conversations using a structured, answer\-first (BLUF) approach

Manage escalations and expectations with composure and integrity

Build long\-term trusted relationships by recommending evidence\-based solutions

Ask probing questions to uncover the client's real need, including their model, the metrics they want to

move, and how they intend to train or evaluate it

Apply a solid understanding of how LLMs are trained and fine\-tuned to hold credible conversations with

technical leaders and understand their data strategy

Propose proactively the data that will solve the client's problem, with options and rationale

Design and build data solutions hands\-on, configuring data\-labeling components and quality controls

Develop user interfaces and AI\-driven solutions (e.g. agentic systems, RAG, synthetic data generation)

Integrate solutions into automated, multi\-stage pipelines that produce data for AI training and evaluation

Architect complex, multi\-stage solutions end to end

Run experiments to prove the pipeline delivers data of the required quality and speed

Iterate from MVP toward production

Provide technical leadership across multiple client engagements

Establish reusable engineering standards and best practices

Hands\-on solution engineering: complex AI solutions, multi\-stage pipelines, AI\-driven systems (agentic

workflows, RAG, synthetic data generation)

Python (NumPy, Pandas)

API integration

Independent prototyping of LLM\-powered solutions

Software engineering foundations: version control, testing, MVP thinking, iterative development

Discovery and problem framing, working through ambiguity and translating business or research goals into

AI data and evaluation strategies

Delivering complex AI, ML, or data projects end to end (8\+ years)

Influencing technical direction beyond individual projects

Ownership mindset: trade\-offs between time, cost, and quality, owning technical and commercial success
