This position will be responsible for 1940 Act Mutual Fund financial reporting for investment portfolios for the Company’s proprietary mutual funds \& collective investment trusts.
- 1940 Act Fund experience a must
- Mutual Fund Accounting experience preferred
- Knowledge of security types, specifically derivatives \- Swaps, Options,Futures and Forward Contracts
- Must be proficient in completing financial statements:
- SOI \- Schedule of Investments
- SAL \- Assets and Liabilities
- S\- Statement of Operations
- SOC \- Statement of Changes
- FiHi \- Financial Highlights
- Must be proficient in Fund performance calculations
- Knowledge and experience with acquired fund fee calculations
- Proficient in Microsoft office
- Excel and its various functions (advanced formulas (Index/match, if statements, VLOOKUP, hlookup, pivot tables)
- 75% Prepares various financial reports for the Company’s proprietary mutual funds \& collective investment trusts, ensuring proper audit trail of financial statements numbers. Reports may be tinternal and external users and may be in designated regulatory formats. Analyzes and interprets financial results.
- 5% Researches and proposes new disclosures and modifications treports in response tnew pronouncements and guidelines. Determines appropriate disclosures related tnew investment types. Modifies reports as appropriate.
- 5% Prepares audit documents upon request. Explains reports and position tauditors as necessary.
- 5% Responds tad\-hoc reporting requests requiring interpretation of requests, professional formatting and explanation of results.
- 10% Prepares and explains billing for investment advisory and administrative services. Prepares journal entries and reconciliations for accounts.
- *Minimum Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 3\-5 years of financial reporting experience required
- Strong Knowledge of 1940 Act registered investment companies reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of investments
- Public accounting or investment related financial reporting experience a plus
- Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills
