Android Developer

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Android applications using Java and Kotlin.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain RESTful APIs using .NET technologies.
• Integrate Android applications with backend REST APIs and third\-party services.
• Develop and maintain database objects in Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle Database.
• Write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views to support application requirements.
• Troubleshoot application issues, fix bugs, and optimize application performance.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA engineers, and other developers to deliver high\-quality software solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards and best practices.
• Prepare technical documentation where required.
• Keep up to date with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing applications.

Required Skills

• 2–4 years of experience in Android application development.
• Strong knowledge of Java and Kotlin.
• Good understanding of the Android application lifecycle and Android SDK.
• Proficiency in Android Studio.
• Experience with RESTful API integration and JSON data handling.
• Working knowledge of developing REST APIs using ASP.NET Web API, ASP.NET Core, or .NET.
• Good understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, and API authentication (JWT, OAuth, or token\-based authentication).
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle Database.
• Good SQL programming skills, including:
• DDL and DML statements
• Joins, subqueries, and views
• Stored procedures and user\-defined functions
• Basic indexing and query optimization
• Experience with SQLite or Room database.
• Knowledge of Firebase Crashlytics and push notifications.
• Experience with Retrofit or Volley libraries.
• Familiarity with Material Design guidelines.
• Knowledge of Git/GitHub for source code management.
• Experience working with multithreading, background services, and location\-based services.
• Good debugging and problem\-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Camera2 or CameraX APIs.
• Knowledge of MVVM architecture and Android Jetpack components.
• Experience with Kotlin Coroutines.
• Basic knowledge of Dependency Injection (Hilt, Dagger, or Koin).
• Familiarity with JUnit and Espresso testing frameworks.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.
• Understanding of application security best practices.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodology.

Preferred Domain Experience

• Experience in Banking, Financial Services, FinTech, or enterprise application development will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹20,000\.00 \- ₹35,000\.00 per month
