You will be responsible for maintaining Apigee API gateways, troubleshooting production issues, supporting deployments, optimizing performance, and collaborating across engineering, DevOps, and data teams.

- Apigee Platform Support (L2\) Perform Level\-2 operational support for Apigee X/Hybrid API Gateway.
- Monitor API traffic, latency, error rates, and backend integration health
- Analyze and resolve API failures, authorization issues, developer onboarding issues, and pipeline failures.
- Debug API proxy policies: OAuth2/JWT, Spike arrest, Quota, CORS, Service callouts, Message transformations
- Support deployments and CI/CD pipelines for Apigee proxy bundles. Production Monitoring \& Operations
- Use monitoring tools like Stackdriver, Cloud Logging, API Analytics, Grafana, or Dynatrace.
- Respond to incidents, participate in root cause analysis (RCA), and propose permanent fixes.
- Improve API performance through caching, quotas, backend optimizations, and policy fine\-tuning. Data Engineering \& Analytics Support API\-driven data pipelines connecting microservices, data lakes, and analytics layers.
- Work with GCP services like: BigQuery,Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Dataflow (nice to have)

- Create and maintain API analytics dashboards for usage trends, data flow patterns, and business KPIs.
- Ensure API logs and telemetry feed into central data systems for observability and insights.
- Assist data teams with schema propagation, metadata exchange, and secure data exposure via APIs. Security \& Compliance ? Implement and troubleshoot: } OAuth2\.0 } JWT tokens } API Key validation } mTLS
- Ensure compliance with organization security standards and data governance policies. Collaboration \& Stakeholder Interaction
- Work closely with architects, backend developers, DevOps engineers, and data engineering teams.
- Support developer onboarding to the Apigee platform and guide best practices for API design.
- Provide L2 technical documentation for recurring issues and known error patterns. Required Skills w Strong hands\-on experience in Apigee API proxy development \& L2 support.
- Good understanding of REST, JSON, XML, OAuth, JWT, and API security. w Familiarity with Linux, shell scripting, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Cloud Build).
- Experience with GCP is preferred: BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Logging, IAM. w Exposure to data pipelines, data ingestion, or API\-based data movement.
- Solid troubleshooting and analytical skills.
