Application Sales and Marketing Engineer

• *Job Title:** Technical Sales \& Application Engineer (CNC Cutting Tools)
• *Location:** Base: Tiruchirappalli (Covering Trichy, Mathur, and Pudukkottai/Viralimalai clusters)

• *Job Purpose:**

To drive sales growth for a premium, world\-renowned German cutting tool brand (**Ceratizit / WNT**). The ideal candidate will combine sharp commercial sales skills with hands\-on shop floor technical application knowledge to break into new manufacturing accounts, displace competitors, and optimize cycle times for existing clients.

• *Key Responsibilities:**

• **New Account Acquisition:** Identify and map CNC/VMC machine shops, heavy fabrication units, and valve/component manufacturers across Trichy and Pudukkottai.
• **The "Turning" Foot\-in\-the\-Door:** Open new commercial accounts by successfully introducing and selling high\-volume index able turning inserts.
• **Technical Trials \& Optimization:** Read component drawings, select the appropriate Ceratizit milling/drilling/turning tools, configure speeds \& feeds, and run live machine trials to prove performance.
• **Up sell Core Solutions:** Seamlessly cross\-sell high\-value, high\-margin Ceratizit **Milling \& Deep\-Hole Drilling solutions** to established accounts.
• **Competitor Conversion:** Actively identify shops using competitor brands (like Kennametal/Widia) and present quantified "Cost\-Per\-Part" savings reports to win the business.

• *Candidate Profile \& Qualifications:**

• **Education:** BE / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Automobile Engineering.
• **Experience:** 2 to 5 years of experience. We highly value candidates with background as a **CNC/VMC Programmer/Operator** looking to move into sales, OR a **Field Sales Engineer** from a reputed cutting tool or industrial consumable brand.
• **Technical Skills:** Absolute clarity on machining parameters (cutting speed, feed rate, depth of cut), familiarity with Fanuc/Siemens controls, and ability to read engineering drawings.
• **Local Knowledge:** Must be familiar with industrial clusters like Thuvakudi, Mathur, Ariyamangalam, and Viralimalai / Pudukkottai. Tamil fluency is mandatory; English for technical communication.
• **Logistics:** Must own a two\-wheeler and a valid driving license for regular field visits.
