KayCee Engineers is an established architectural consultancy and construction company with a legacy dating back to 1973\. We specialise in architectural design, residential construction, interior design and turnkey projects across Kerala.

We are looking for a skilled and detail\-oriented Architectural 2D Draftsman to join our design team. The candidate should be capable of preparing accurate architectural drawings and detailed working drawings for residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• *1\. Architectural Drafting**

• Prepare 2D architectural drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop floor plans, elevations and sections from architectural concepts.
• Prepare detailed working drawings for residential and commercial buildings.
• Modify and revise drawings based on architect and client feedback.
• Ensure accuracy, dimensions, annotations and drawing standards.

• *2\. Detailed Working Drawings**

• Prepare foundation and setting\-out drawings based on approved designs and consultant inputs.
• Prepare door and window schedules.
• Develop staircase, toilet, kitchen and other architectural details.
• Prepare electrical and plumbing layout drawings in coordination with respective consultants.
• Prepare furniture layouts, false ceiling layouts and interior detailing drawings.

• *3\. Technical Coordination**

• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, MEP consultants and site engineers.
• Understand and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Incorporate site measurements and revisions into drawings.
• Ensure drawings are updated and issued to the site team on time.

• *4\. Documentation \& File Management**

• Maintain organised project drawing files.
• Prepare PDF drawings for client presentations and site execution.
• Maintain proper drawing revisions and documentation.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned drafting work.

Required Qualifications \& Skills

• Diploma / Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.
• Good understanding of architectural drawings and construction details.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Knowledge of building construction methods and materials.
• Basic knowledge of SketchUp is an advantage.
• Knowledge of working drawing preparation and detailing.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.

Experience

• Candidates with 1–3 years of experience are preferred.
• Freshers with excellent AutoCAD drafting skills and a good understanding of architectural drawings may also apply.
