ASP.NET Project Consultant (On\-site, Bhubaneswar)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced ASP.NET consultant to work on\-site with our team on \[new application development / migration of an existing application / enhancement and maintenance of an existing system]. You will guide technical decisions, contribute hands\-on to development, and help the team deliver to agreed timelines and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and review ASP.NET (MVC / Web API / .NET Core) application modules
• Advise on architecture, database design, and technology choices
• Review existing code, identify performance, security, and scalability issues, and recommend fixes
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and third\-party services
• Write optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and Entity Framework data access
• Support deployment, testing, and bug resolution
• Mentor in\-house developers and conduct knowledge\-transfer sessions
• Prepare technical documentation and regular progress updates

Required Skills

• 5\+ years of hands\-on experience in ASP.NET, C\#, and .NET Core / .NET 6\+
• Strong experience with ASP.NET MVC and Web API
• Proficiency in SQL Server and Entity Framework / LINQ
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
• Understanding of authentication and authorization (JWT, Identity, OAuth)
• Experience with Git or other version control
• Familiarity with application security best practices

Good to Have

• Experience with Angular, React, or Blazor
• Exposure to Azure or IIS deployment and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with legacy migration (e.g., Web Forms to .NET Core)
• Knowledge of microservices, unit testing (xUnit/NUnit), and Agile/Scrum

Qualifications

• B.Tech / BE / MCA / BCA or equivalent
• Prior consulting or client\-facing project experience preferred
