Assistant Consultant - QA

#### **Roles and Responsibilities:**

• Understand client business workflows and turn their requirements into test scenarios and test cases.
• Run manual functional, regression, integration, smoke and UAT testing on web applications and APIs.
• Test in client environments, reproduce the issues they report, and collect clear evidence such as screenshots, logs and API responses.
• Log, track and retest bugs in tools like Jira, with clear steps to reproduce, severity and priority.
• Test REST APIs with Postman, checking request and response data, status codes and error handling.
• Check that data in the UI, the database and reports matches, using basic SQL queries.
• Join client calls, demos and UAT sessions, and explain test results and known issues in plain language.
• Work with developers and product managers to confirm fixes and support releases.
• Keep test documentation up to date: test plans, test cases, bug reports and release notes.

• *Experience : 6 months \-1 Year**

#### **Skills Required:**

• 6 months to 1 year of experience in software testing, including internships.
• A solid grasp of SDLC, STLC and the bug life cycle.
• Experience with manual testing and with writing clear test cases and bug reports.
• Basic API testing with Postman and the ability to read JSON.
• Basic SQL, enough to write SELECT queries with joins and filters.
• Familiarity with Jira or a similar tracker.
• Strong communication skills, and comfort talking directly with clients.

A curious, detail\-focused mindset, with the patience to spot data mismatches and edge cases.

• *Good to have:**

• Exposure to automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright or Cypress.
• Knowledge of browser DevTools (Network tab, console) for debugging.
• Experience with finance, payroll or other compliance\-heavy domains.
• ISTQB Foundation certification.

Willingness to travel to client sites or work in their time zones when needed.

• *Education:**

B.Tech, BCA, MCA, B.Sc (IT/CS) or an equivalent degree.
