Assistant General Manager (AGM) – Electrical Procurement / Purchase

• *Education:** B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (or Electronics) *(MBA in Supply Chain/Operations is an added advantage)*

Typically 8 to 15 years of core technical procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain experience in electrical manufacturing, construction, or EPC industries.

Key Responsibilities

• **Strategic Sourcing \& Planning:**
• Develop and implement category\-specific procurement strategies for electrical items (transformers, switchgears, cables, panels, motors, VFDs, instrumentation, etc.).
• Forecast material requirements based on project execution schedules and production plans.
• **Tendering \& Commercial Negotiations:**
• Prepare Requests for Quotations (RFQs), conduct Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE) and Commercial Bid Evaluations (CBE), and lead high\-value negotiations with vendors.
• Finalize Purchase Orders (POs), rate contracts, and Long\-Term Agreements (LTAs) ensuring optimal cost savings and quality compliance.
• **Vendor Management \& Development:**
• Identify, audit, and onboard reliable domestic and international suppliers.
• Track vendor performance scorecards (on\-time delivery, quality standards, and pricing) and manage alternative/dual\-sourcing strategies to mitigate supply chain risks.
• **Cross\-Functional \& Quality Coordination:**
• Coordinate closely with project engineering, site execution, and Quality Assurance (QA/QC) teams to verify material technical specifications and resolve non\-conformances.
• Monitor post\-order supply chains, expediting deliveries to prevent project delays or line stoppages.
• **Budget \& Cost Control:**
• Drive value engineering initiatives, alternate vendor substitution, and total cost of ownership (TCO) reductions.

Pay: ₹90,000\.00 \- ₹100,000\.00 per month
