Position Overview

Chandigarh University is seeking a highly motivated and experienced **Assistant Manager – AI/ML** to drive the development, implementation, and optimization of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning solutions across academic, administrative, and business functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in AI/ML technologies, data analytics, model deployment, and team collaboration to support innovation and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence models for real\-world business and academic applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify AI\-driven opportunities and deliver scalable solutions.
• Develop predictive models, recommendation systems, NLP applications, and automation frameworks.
• Manage end\-to\-end AI/ML project lifecycles, including data collection, preprocessing, model training, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Implement Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Chatbots, and Intelligent Automation solutions.
• Work closely with Data Engineers, Software Developers, and Business Teams to integrate AI solutions into existing systems.
• Monitor model performance and continuously improve accuracy, scalability, and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and ethical AI standards.
• Stay updated with emerging AI technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
• Prepare technical documentation, project reports, and stakeholder presentations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• 5–8 years of experience in AI/ML development, data science, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of Machine Learning algorithms, Deep Learning, NLP, Computer Vision, and Generative AI.
• Hands\-on experience with Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit\-learn, Keras, and related AI frameworks.
• Experience with LLMs, Prompt Engineering, RAG Architecture, AI Agents, and OpenAI/Anthropic/Gemini APIs.
• Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL databases, data pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience in model deployment using Docker, Kubernetes, MLOps, and CI/CD practices.
• Strong analytical, problem\-solving, and project management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Higher Education, EdTech, Digital Transformation, or Enterprise AI implementations.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, and advanced data visualization tools.
• Exposure to AI governance, responsible AI practices, and model explainability.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
