The Compliance Officer will support the India Compliance Lead in implementing and strengthening the Compliance Program for India Commercial. The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and industry codes of conduct. The incumbent will act as a trusted business partner by providing day\-to\-day compliance guidance, reviewing promotional and healthcare stakeholder activities, monitoring compliance controls, conducting training, and supporting governance initiatives.
The position requires strong stakeholder management, sound knowledge of pharmaceutical compliance practices, and the ability to build a proactive compliance culture across the organization.
- *Essential Functions**

- Support the India Compliance Lead in implementing and maintaining the Compliance Program for India Commercial.
- Review and approve HCP, HCC, patient support, and marketing activities in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Draft, update, and implement compliance policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) based on evolving regulatory requirements.
- Conduct compliance awareness programs, employee training, and communication initiatives to promote an ethical culture.
- Partner with cross\-functional stakeholders to ensure compliance requirements are embedded in business processes.
- Assist in automating compliance workflows and governance processes.
- Conduct periodic compliance monitoring and internal reviews to assess effectiveness of internal controls and identify compliance risks.
- Maintain compliance records, documentation, and data in accordance with company policies.
- Coordinate and support quarterly India Compliance Committee meetings, including preparation of governance dashboards and reports.
- Maintain the annual compliance governance calendar and ensure timely execution of planned activities.
- Track compliance exceptions, deviations, observations, and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives to strengthen awareness and promote a culture of compliance across India Commercial.
- Provide day\-to\-day compliance guidance to business stakeholders while supporting business objectives within the established compliance framework.
- *Additional Responsibilities**

- Build strong collaborative relationships across Commercial functions including Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, HR, Finance, Training, and Supply Chain.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance compliance processes and governance standards.
- Monitor changes in the regulatory environment and recommend necessary policy updates.
- Prepare compliance metrics, dashboards, and management reports for leadership reviews.
- Participate in compliance projects and special initiatives assigned by the Regional Compliance Lead.
- Demonstrate a high standard of integrity, professionalism, and ethical decision\-making while supporting Commercial and Operations teams.
- *Qualifications**
### **Education**
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration, Finance, Compliance, or a related discipline.
- Degree in Law will be an added advantage.
### **Experience**
- Minimum **3–5 years** of experience in Compliance within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or medical devices industry.
- Experience in Healthcare Compliance, Anti\-Bribery \& Anti\-Corruption (ABAC), compliance governance, monitoring, and policy implementation is preferred.
- Exposure to commercial compliance activities involving Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), Healthcare Organizations (HCOs/HCCs), and patient\-related programs is desirable.

### **Technical Skills**
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical compliance regulations and ethical business practices.
- Knowledge of Anti\-Bribery \& Anti\-Corruption (ABAC) requirements.
- Experience in compliance monitoring, auditing, and governance.
- Policy drafting and implementation.
- Risk assessment and compliance reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Experience with compliance automation tools is an advantage.
