**Job Role**

An experienced Data Business Analyst to support a back\-office database migration. This person will own the data mapping process — translating current datasets used across the firm into the structure and logic of the new system — while working closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure accuracy, completeness, and sign\-off.

**Responsibilities**

Own the end\-to\-end data mapping process, from requirements gathering through validation and vendor sign\-off l Collaborate across operations, engineering, product, compliance, and vendor teams to define the source\-of\-truth for each data element l Produce and maintain mapping documentation, including field\-level mappings, value translations, structural differences, known gaps, execution order, and validation criteria l Investigate and resolve data quality issues, distinguishing between engineering\-solvable problems and source\-data limitations l Coordinate review sessions with internal stakeholders and external vendors, track open items to closure, and ensure alignment before implementation l Pull data samples and write profiling queries to validate mappings and surface defects prior to handoff

**Required skills**

data mapping, data migration, or data analysis, ideally within financial services or back\-office operations,Strong SQL skills and comfort writing profiling/validation queries l Excellent cross\-functional communication skills; able to work with both technical and non\-technical stakeholders.
