• *Qualification:** B.E. / B.Tech – Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile Engineering

• *Role Objective**

To manage **domestic and international sourcing, vendor development, imports, commercial negotiations and regulatory compliance** for automotive and EV components, ensuring competitive cost, quality and uninterrupted supplies.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• *1\. Strategic Sourcing \& Vendor Development**

• Source automotive electrical and electronic components, including **wiring harnesses, copper/aluminium busbars, connectors, contactors, relays, fuses, PCBs, BMS, VCU, OBC and battery components**.
• Identify, develop and qualify domestic and international suppliers, particularly from China, Europe and Southeast Asia.
• Handle RFQs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, cost reduction, localization and alternate vendor development.
• Manage supplier performance based on QCDS, PPAP/APQP requirements and supply agreements.

• *2\. Imports \& Regulatory Compliance**

• Independently manage end\-to\-end imports, international logistics, customs clearance and coordination with CHA/freight forwarders.
• Hands\-on knowledge of **Dangerous Goods (DG) handling**, particularly lithium\-ion cells/batteries, including UN38\.3, SDS/MSDS, IATA and IMDG regulations.
• Updated knowledge of **DGFT, CBIC/Customs, BIS/QCO, WPC, EPR, FEMA/RBI** and applicable government import regulations.
• Knowledge of HS classification, customs duties, IGST, FTA benefits, Certificates of Origin and import documentation.

• *3\. International Commercial \& Payment Terms**

• Thorough understanding of **INCOTERMS 2020** – EXW, FCA, FOB, CFR, CIF, CPT, CIP, DAP and DDP.
• Strong knowledge of international payment terms – **Advance TT, LC at Sight, Usance LC, DP, DA, CAD, SBLC, Open Account and supplier credit**.
• Negotiate pricing, credit terms, freight, insurance, warranties and long\-term supply agreements.
• Evaluate landed cost, foreign exchange exposure and working capital impact.

• *4\. Procurement \& Supply Chain Management**

• Manage purchase orders, material planning, shipment schedules, inventory and supplier delivery commitments.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Production, Finance and Logistics to ensure uninterrupted supplies.
• Drive cost optimization, supplier quality improvement, localization and supply risk mitigation.

• *Required Skills**

• Proven experience in **automotive electrical/electronic component sourcing and international imports**.
• Strong commercial negotiation, vendor development and landed\-cost analysis skills.
• Practical knowledge of import regulations, DG cargo, INCOTERMS and international payment mechanisms.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOMs and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in ERP/SAP, Excel and procurement MIS.

• *Preferred Industry:** Automotive OEM / Tier\-1 / Tier\-2 / EV Manufacturing / Battery Pack Manufacturing.

• *Added Advantage:** Experience in lithium\-ion battery cells, HV electrical components, wiring harnesses, busbars and DG cargo imports.
