Amity University Ranchi invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in Computer Science. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering high\-quality teaching, mentoring students, contributing to research activities, and actively participating in academic and institutional development initiatives.

The role requires a passionate academician with strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a research\-oriented mindset.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions, and academic mentoring for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Teach core Computer Science subjects such as:
• Programming Languages (C, C\+\+, Java, Python)
• Data Structures \& Algorithms
• Database Management Systems
• Operating Systems
• Computer Networks
• Artificial Intelligence \& Machine Learning
• Data Science
• Cybersecurity
• Cloud Computing
• Software Engineering
• Develop and update curriculum, lesson plans, assignments, and assessment methods.
• Guide students in projects, internships, research work, and career development.
• Conduct quality research and publish papers in reputed journals/conferences.
• Participate in Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), seminars, workshops, and conferences.
• Contribute to departmental accreditation, academic administration, and institutional activities.
• Support student engagement activities, innovation initiatives, and industry collaborations.
• Maintain academic records and ensure compliance with university policies and UGC norms.

• *Eligibility Criteria**

• *Essential Qualifications**

• Ph.D. in Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Science Engineering or related field.
• Candidates pursuing Ph.D. or those who have submitted their thesis may also apply.
• Master’s Degree in relevant discipline from a recognized university.

• *Preferred Qualifications**

• NET/SET qualification as per UGC norms (preferred where applicable).
• Prior teaching or research experience in higher education institutions.
• Publications in Scopus/SCI/UGC\-CARE indexed journals.
• Exposure to Outcome\-Based Education (OBE), LMS platforms, and digital teaching tools.

• *Desired Skills**

• Strong academic and technical knowledge in Computer Science.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and classroom management skills.
• Research aptitude and publication\-oriented approach.
• Ability to mentor and motivate students.

• *Experience**

• 0–5 years of teaching/research/industry experience preferred.
• Fresh Ph.D. scholars and thesis\-submitted candidates are encouraged to apply.

Pay: ₹50,000\.00 \- ₹80,000\.00 per month
