- *The Opportunity**
We have a new opportunity for an Associate Controls Engineer to take a key leadership role in our growing IMEA Building Performance and Systems team, leading the design and delivery of Building Management Systems solutions for HVAC plant control.
Our Building Performance and Systems team brings world\-class expertise developed through more than 30 years of practical experience. The team supports clients across the building lifecycle, from concept and construction through to operation, feedback and continuous improvement.
In this role, you will help optimise building performance to meet business needs, reduce operational cost and environmental impact, and improve occupant wellbeing and productivity. You will work closely with MEP teams across Arup and collaborate with colleagues across the IMEA region to engage clients, develop relationships and support the continued growth of the BPS practice.

- *Is this role right for you?**
We are looking for
- A degree\-qualified or Chartered Engineer with at least 10 years’ experience in the BMS/Controls industry, ideally in a similar role or with a contractor or manufacturer, with strong experience leading BMS/Controls projects, delivering complex designs and liaising confidently with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
- Broad knowledge of the BMS/Controls industry and markets in India, with excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work across teams and practices in the IMEA region.
- Proven people, project and commercial management capability, including line management, mentoring, training and development of less experienced engineers, as well as supporting business growth, service development and profit and loss responsibility for the BPS practice in the IMEA region.
- An interest in Buildings in Use, Energy Management, Building Performance Evaluation, Post Occupancy Evaluation, Health and Wellbeing in operational buildings, and digital products and services, with willingness to work on project sites and with clients across the IMEA region while ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements and procedures.
