Job Description

Job Overview

  • *Job Description:** TOC Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and software\-driven Associate TOC Engineer (AI \& Automation ) \- Intern to help build our next\-generation AI Operations (AIOps) solutions. This is a pure development role designed for an ambitious fresher looking to bridge the gap between software engineering, data science, and smart automation.

You will develop cutting\-edge, AI\-powered applications and predictive models using Python, engineer high\-throughput data pipelines in Google BigQuery, and build smart automation systems driven by Google Gemini to revolutionize technical operations. If you love coding, training baseline ML models, experimenting with LLMs, and building interactive internal tools, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities (Pure Development)

  • AIOps \& Smart Automation: Learn to architect and write code for autonomous self\-healing scripts, anomaly detection pipelines, and predictive alerting systems using machine learning libraries.
  • Predictive Modeling: Build and evaluate baseline machine learning/prediction models to forecast system behavior, track metrics, and identify anomalies.
  • AI Application Development: Assist in developing intelligent automation tools and internal applications that integrate with Google Gemini or other foundational LLMs.
  • Full\-Stack \& Interactive Tooling: Build and maintain robust backend tools and fast, type\-safe APIs using Python, Django, and Django Ninja. Develop interactive front\-end dashboards and internal analytics tools using Streamlit, React basics, and Jinja templates.
  • Data Layer Engineering: \* Write and optimize analytical data pipelines within Google BigQuery to process log files, metrics, and system events at scale.
  • Manipulate, clean, and structure operational datasets efficiently using Pandas and NumPy.
  • Implement SQLite systems for application\-level caching, local configurations, and rapid prototyping of state\-management tools.
  • Linux Infrastructure Automation: Code automated deployment scripts, daemon processes, and system management tools tailored for Linux environments.

Technical Skills \& Qualifications

1\. Data Science \& Predictive ML Frameworks

  • Machine Learning: Basic conceptual knowledge and hands\-on academic or project experience building prediction models with scikit\-learn.
  • Data Manipulation: Good understanding of data analysis, matrix processing, and data structures using Pandas and NumPy.
  • Rapid Prototyping: Experience creating clean, data\-driven web applications or dashboards using Streamlit.

2\. AI \& GenAI Basics

  • Foundational understanding of integrating LLMs (Google Gemini good to have) into applications through academic/personal projects, APIs, or hackathons.
  • Curiosity and awareness of Agentic AI workflows (how LLMs can use external tools or execute basic loops).

3\. Software Engineering \& Web Development

  • Python Basics \& Beyond: Strong command of Python fundamentals (Data types, Loops, Object\-Oriented Programming, and writing clean, structured code).
  • Web Frameworks \& APIs: Solid understanding of building applications with Django (Models, Views, ORM basics) and designing modern APIs using Ninja (or similar Pydantic\-based frameworks).
  • Frontend Basics: Basic competency in React (state, hooks, components) and Jinja templating for fast, interactive web layout rendering.

4\. Data \& Core Systems

  • BigQuery \& SQL: Solid SQL capability to model, query, and manipulate data sets within cloud data warehouses like Google BigQuery.
  • SQLite \& DB Fundamentals: Strong understanding of relational database basics, including indexing, structured schemas, and lightweight transactional storage via SQLite.
  • Linux Environment: Command\-line fluency; ability to navigate filesystems and write basic bash scripts natively in Linux.

Preferred / Good to Have Qualifications

  • Basic exposure to RAG (Retrieval\-Augmented Generation) frameworks or vector databases is a major plus.
  • Any exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) tools like Vertex AI or Cloud Run.
  • B.Tech or equivalent degree
  • 0\-1 years of experience
  • *Our Benefits:** Global vision, local impact
  • At OSTTRA, our benefits philosophy offers a market\-competitive package that reflects our position as an industry leader. We want to ensure you feel valued, secure, and empowered wherever you are in the world.
