An Oracle EBS PPM Functional Consultant with 8 to 10 years of experience in the Manufacturing Industry is a senior domain expert. This professional bridge the gap between manufacturing operational processes (like engineering\-to\-order, asset maintenance, and capital projects) and Oracle E\-Business Suite (R12\) technical configurations to deliver optimal business solutions.

• *Job Role Overview**

• **Core Focus:** Oracle EBS Project Portfolio Management (PPM) R12 implementation, support, and process optimization within a discrete or process manufacturing environment.
• **Engagement Type:** Senior Functional Consultant / Track Lead for end\-to\-end setups, customization design, and manufacturing integration.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• *Oracle EBS PPM Configuration \& Solution Design**

• **Module Setups:** Own the functional configuration of **Oracle Project Costing**, **Oracle Project Billing**, **Oracle Project Manufacturing (PJM)**, and **Oracle Project Contracts**.
• **End\-to\-End Implementation:** Lead all phases of R12 implementation or upgrade cycles using **AIM (Application Implementation Methodology)** or **OUM**.
• **Documentation Lifecycle:** Author high\-quality functional design documents (**BR100** for configurations, **MD050** for customizations and extensions).

• *Manufacturing Cross\-Functional Integration**

• **Supply Chain \& Operations Integration:** Map cross\-functional flows between Oracle PPM and manufacturing modules, specifically **Discrete/Process Manufacturing**, **Bills of Material (BOM)**, **Work in Process (WIP)**, and **Oracle Inventory (INV)**.
• **Procure\-to\-Project Flows:** Ensure seamless integration with **Oracle Purchasing (PO)** and **iProcurement** for tracking project\-specific material commitments and expenses.
• **Financial Alignment:** Design accounting flows from projects into **Oracle General Ledger (GL)**, **Accounts Payable (AP)**, and **Fixed Assets (FA)** for accurate capitalization of manufacturing assets.

• *Business Advisory \& Testing**

• **Fit\-Gap \& Business Mapping:** Run requirements gathering workshops with shop floor managers and finance heads; map out Project Manufacturing variants like **Engineer\-to\-Order (ETO)** and **Make\-to\-Order (MTO)**.
• **Testing \& Quality Assurance:** Design test scripts and lead Conference Room Pilots (CRP), System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• **Data Migration:** Plan and validate functional data conversion strategies for open projects, tasks, expenditure items, and project commitments.

• *Required Technical \& Domain Competencies**

• **Core Experience:** 8–10 years of hands\-on Oracle EBS functional experience, with at least 3 full\-lifecycle implementations in the manufacturing sector.
• **Project Manufacturing (PJM) Mastery:** Deep understanding of project locators, project\-driven material requirements planning (MRP/MPS), project\-specific cost collection, and WIP job associations.
• **Manufacturing Domain Knowledge:** Strong understanding of manufacturing cost accounting (Standard, Average, or FIFO costing), inventory valuations, overhead allocations, and capital expenditure (CapEx) tracking.
• **Technical Literacy:** Proficiency in writing SQL queries to troubleshoot data mismatches, and experience designing layouts with Oracle Discoverer or **XML/BI Publisher**.
