We are looking for an **Automation and Integration Engineer** to join our growing technology team in Mumbai and support a critical application that powers complex supplier validation and questionnaire workflows across our platform ecosystem.
We are looking for someone who enjoys solving complex logical problems, working with integrations, APIs, structured validation logic, and large\-scale workflow automation.
You will own and enhance a business\-critical application built on a low\-code third\-party platform, working across the full delivery lifecycle — from understanding requirements and analysing business logic through to build, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and ongoing improvements.
The application integrates with multiple external APIs and processes thousands of validation rules across a highly structured questionnaire system that sits at the core of Achilles’ flagship Supply Chain Risk Management platform.
- Own the full delivery lifecycle of features including requirements gathering, analysis, design, build, testing, deployment, and ongoing support — operating largely independently
- Analyse, document, and implement complex business logic including large\-scale validation rules, nested conditions, dependency chains, and conditional workflows
- Build and maintain integrations with REST APIs and third\-party services within the Toca platform
- Debug and resolve issues across the application stack including integrations, data flows, API responses, workflow logic, and UI behaviour
- Work closely with business and operational stakeholders to translate requirements into structured technical solutions and specifications
- Write and maintain supporting scripts, primarily using Python, to automate processes and extend platform functionality
- Manage configuration, versioning, and deployment activities in line with structured change management practices
- Produce clear technical documentation covering integrations, workflows, validation logic, and system behaviour
- Contribute to structured testing, regression testing, QA reviews, and validation of rule changes
- Continuously identify opportunities for automation, optimisation, and process improvement across the platform ecosystem
Please note: this is not an RPA, support desk, or purely administrative low\-code role.
- *What We’re Looking For**
- Strong analytical and logical problem\-solving skills with the ability to understand and implement complex logic and rule\-based systems
- Hands\-on experience integrating with REST APIs including authentication, request/response handling, data mapping, and error handling
- Proven ability to independently deliver technical solutions from requirements through production with minimal oversight
- Methodical debugging and troubleshooting skills across multiple interacting systems and integrations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non\-technical stakeholders
- High attention to detail, particularly in environments involving validation logic, data consistency, edge\-case handling, and structured workflows
- Qualification or demonstrable technical experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, IT, or equivalent disciplines
- Python scripting experience for automation, integrations, or data processing
- Experience with low\-code/no\-code platforms such as Toca, Mendix, OutSystems, or Power Apps
- Experience working with questionnaire systems, workflow engines, or form\-based applications with large rule sets and conditional branching
- Exposure to structured data validation frameworks and rule\-driven systems at scale
- Experience with automated testing or regression testing practices
- Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar project and delivery management tools
- Exposure to C\# or TypeScript is advantageous
- Work on global platforms and modern tech stack
- Opportunity to drive automation and process improvements
- Collaborative, agile work environment
- Continuous learning and growth opportunities
