- *So, what’s the role all about?**
The Automation Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of web applications through a combination of manual and automated end\-to\-end testing. This role involves designing and maintaining scalable automation test suites, executing hybrid test strategies, and leveraging AI agents to accelerate automation and improve test coverage. The position requires close collaboration with cross\-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines, and deliver high\-quality product releases. The engineer will also document defects, support continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute technical expertise to enhance both test efficiency and overall product quality.
- *How will you make an impact?**
- Conduct comprehensive end\-to\-end testing of web applications using both manual techniques and automated tools.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks using industry\-standard tools and libraries.
- Integrate automated accessibility checks into CI/CD pipelines to enforce shift\-left accessibility practices.
- Document findings with clear, actionable defect descriptions and supporting screenshots in the team's test management system (e.g., JIRA).
- Analyze information, troubleshoot issues, and reach sound conclusions within own area of technical expertise.
- Create and execute automated E2E test cases for web applications, including test data generation.
- Maintain and support automation infrastructure.
- Own and deliver tasks of low to medium complexity independently.
- Participate in training to continuously build technical and non\-technical knowledge.
- Adhere to defined SDLC processes and QA best practices.
- *Have you got what it takes?**
- B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in IT as an Automation QA Engineer.
- 2\+ years of hands\-on experience in UI automation testing.
- Proficiency with Playwright or equivalent UI testing tools.
- Strong programming skills in TypeScript, Java, or JavaScript.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
- Experience with defect management and tracking tools, preferably JIRA.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Exposure to AI\-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or equivalent.
- Desirable: knowledge of API validation using Postman or REST APIs.
- Desirable: familiarity with cloud services such as AWS.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong English proficiency.

ISTQBCertified or equivalent
