Automation Tester

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer with hands\-on experience in Java, Selenium, and Cucumber to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, Agile practices, and automation best practices.

• *Your future duties and responsibilities**

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and Cucumber.

Create and maintain automation frameworks for web\-based applications.

Develop BDD test scenarios using Gherkin syntax and implement step definitions.

Analyze business and functional requirements to create effective test cases.

Perform functional, regression, integration, and end\-to\-end testing.

Identify, document, and track defects through their lifecycle.

Collaborate closely with Developers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners to ensure quality deliverables.

Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand\-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

Maintain test execution reports and provide regular status updates.

• *Required qualifications to be successful in this role**

Required Skills

Strong experience in Java programming.

Hands\-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.

Experience with Cucumber (BDD Framework).

Knowledge of TestNG or JUnit.

Experience with Maven/Gradle build tools.

Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira.

Familiarity with Git version control.

Preferred Skills

Experience with API testing using Postman or Rest Assured.

Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.

Experience working with SQL databases and writing queries.

Exposure to cloud platforms and test automation best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

6–8 years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation.
