• *Job Title: AWS Data Architect**

• *Role Summary**

We are looking for a highly skilled AWS Data Architect to design, govern, and evolve scalable, secure, and cost‑efficient data architectures on AWS. The role focuses on defining data strategy, reference architectures, and best practices to enable analytics, reporting, and advanced data use cases across the enterprise.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• Define and own end‑to‑end data architecture on AWS, including data ingestion, storage, processing, analytics, and consumption layers.
• Design enterprise‑grade data platforms using AWS services such as S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, Lake Formation, EMR, Kinesis, DynamoDB, and RDS.
• Establish data lake, data warehouse, and lakehouse architectures aligned with business and analytical needs.
• Develop architectural standards, patterns, and reference architectures for data engineering teams.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and domain teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Ensure data governance, security, privacy, and compliance (IAM, encryption, data access control, auditing).
• Guide teams on data modeling approaches (dimensional, normalized, event‑driven, domain‑oriented models).
• Review and approve solution designs, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and cost using AWS best practices.
• Lead architecture reviews, technical decision‑making, and mentoring of data engineers.
• Partner with DevOps, Cloud, and Platform teams on CI/CD, IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation), and observability.

• *Required Skills \& Qualifications**

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong experience designing data architectures on AWS.
• Deep understanding of AWS data services (S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, EMR, Lake Formation, Kinesis).
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing, big data, and distributed data processing architectures.
• Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of Python.
• Experience with data modeling, metadata management, and data governance frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud security, IAM, encryption, and compliance standards.
• Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.

• *Preferred Qualifications**

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty.
• Experience with streaming and real‑time data architectures.
• Exposure to modern data mesh or domain‑oriented data architectures.
• Experience supporting advanced analytics, BI, or machine learning platforms.
• Background in Agile or SAFe delivery environments.
