About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer to join our technology team and contribute to building, maintaining, and optimizing scalable backend applications. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in backend development, REST API development and integration, and PostgreSQL database management.

Candidates with hands\-on experience in Phoenix Framework, Ruby on Rails, or Java, along with a strong understanding of backend architecture and performance optimization, are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high\-performance backend applications.

Build, integrate, and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless communication between systems and applications.

Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases, including complex queries, joins, indexing, and transactions.

Develop efficient database schemas and ensure data integrity, consistency, and security.

Implement authentication, authorization, and other backend security mechanisms.

Debug and troubleshoot backend issues, identify bottlenecks, and improve application performance.

Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other team members to deliver reliable software solutions.

Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code, following best practices and coding standards.

Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement of backend systems.

Required Skills \& Qualifications

Strong hands\-on experience in backend development using Phoenix Framework, Ruby on Rails, or Java.

Good knowledge of REST API development, integration, and maintenance.

Strong experience with PostgreSQL, including complex queries, joins, indexing, transactions, and query optimization.

Good understanding of database design, backend architecture, and application development principles.

Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and backend security practices.

Experience in debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

Ability to develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable applications.

Strong problem\-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a development team.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working on enterprise applications or business software platforms.

Familiarity with application scalability, performance monitoring, and database optimization techniques.

Understanding of version control systems such as Git.

Experience with automated testing, deployment workflows, and CI/CD practices.
