Backend Engineer

We are seeking a Backend Engineer to join our Catalogue Core Platform team in New Delhi. This is a contract-to-hire position lasting three months with extension possibilities, requiring 4-6 years of experience. You will be responsible for developing and scaling secure, high-performance backend systems for product identity and catalog management. Your core duties will involve designing both REST and gRPC-based APIs, implementing event-driven architectures using Kafka, and building microservices that ensure idempotency and eventual consistency. You must have strong proficiency in Go, Java, or Python, along with hands-on experience in distributed systems and API security. Familiarity with W3C Verifiable Credentials, DID-based systems, GS1/EAN/UPC integrations, Zero Trust Architecture, or India's DPI ecosystems like UPI and Beckn is advantageous. The role is based at our Siri Fort office, requiring full-time on-site presence.
