Billing and Collections Representative

• *Core Responsibilities**

• **Account Management:** Oversee a portfolio of accounts to ensure timely payments and identify delinquent balances.
• **Invoicing \& Billing:** Generate accurate invoices, process credit memos, and ensure all billing cycles are met according to company policy.
• **Negotiation \& Collection:** Reach out to customers via phone and email to discuss overdue payments. You’ll create **mutually beneficial payment plans** while maintaining a professional and empathetic tone.
• **Dispute Resolution:** Investigate and resolve billing hurdles by collaborating with internal departments (Sales, Shipping, or Customer Success) to address the root cause of non\-payment.
• **Reporting:** Maintain meticulous records of all collection activities and provide regular updates on **Aging Reports** and **Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)** metrics.

• *Required Skills \& Qualifications**

• **Communication:** The ability to be firm yet polite. You can navigate "tough conversations" without burning bridges.
• **Attention to Detail:** You’re the person who catches a misplaced decimal point before it becomes a headache.
• **Technical Proficiency:** High comfort level with **ERP systems** and advanced **Microsoft Excel**.
• **Problem\-Solving:** A proactive mindset to identify why a payment is stuck and how to get it moving.
• **Education:** High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred.
