Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Billing Engineer with 4–5 years of experience in construction and real estate projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing and verifying contractor bills, client billing, quantity measurements, rate analysis, reconciliation of quantities, and ensuring timely processing of all project\-related billing activities.
Key ResponsibilitiesBilling \& Measurement
- Prepare and process contractor and subcontractor bills based on site measurements.
- Verify quantities executed at site as per drawings and BOQ.
- Prepare Running Account (RA) Bills and Final Bills.
- Maintain records of work progress and billing status.
- Coordinate with site engineers for measurement verification.
Quantity Surveying
- Calculate quantities from drawings and site measurements.
- Reconcile executed quantities with BOQ quantities.
- Prepare quantity variation statements and deviation reports.
- Assist in quantity take\-offs for ongoing and upcoming projects.
Cost Control \& Documentation
- Monitor project costs and billing trends.
- Prepare rate analysis for extra and non\-BOQ items.
- Maintain billing registers, measurement sheets, and supporting documents.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
Coordination
- Liaise with project managers, site engineers, contractors, consultants, and accounts departments.
- Resolve billing\-related discrepancies and disputes.
- Coordinate with procurement and stores departments for material reconciliation.
Reporting
- Prepare monthly billing reports and project cost summaries.
- Track bill certification and payment status.
- Submit MIS reports related to project billing and quantity reconciliation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- 4–5 years of experience in billing and quantity surveying for residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of BOQ preparation, estimation, and rate analysis.
- Knowledge of construction contracts and billing procedures.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel (Advanced Excel preferred).
- Experience with billing and project management software.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings..
