Job Summary
We are looking for a **Business Analyst (BA)** with 2\+ years of experience in software development projects, especially ERP, HRMS, or custom application solutions. The candidate will act as a bridge between customers, management, development teams, and QA teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood, documented, and delivered successfully. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, business process understanding, documentation capability, and coordination skills to support project delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Requirement Gathering
\- Interact with customers to understand business requirements and workflows \- Conduct requirement gathering sessions and prepare meeting notes \- Analyze business processes and identify gaps or improvement areas \- Clarify customer expectations with internal teams
Documentation
\- Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD) \- Prepare Software Requirement Specifications (SRS) \- Create user stories, workflows, and process flow diagrams \- Document functional and non\-functional requirements \- Maintain requirement traceability and version updates
Coordination
\- Coordinate between customer, Project Manager, development team, and QA team \- Explain functional requirements clearly to developers and testers \- Support project planning and task clarification \- Follow up on pending clarifications and approvals
Testing \& Validation Support
\- Assist QA team in understanding business scenarios \- Validate developed features against requirements \- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) \- Verify bug fixes and functional correctness
Required Skills
Functional Skills
\- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) \- Knowledge of ERP / HRMS / workflow\-based systems is an advantage \- Ability to understand business operations and convert them into software requirements \- Basic understanding of database concepts and APIs is preferred
Technical \& Documentation Skills
\- Experience preparing BRD, SRS, workflows, and user stories \- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Trello, ClickUp, or similar \- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint \- Ability to create process flow diagrams and wireframes
Communication Skills
\- Good verbal and written communication skills \- Ability to conduct customer discussions independently \- Strong coordination and follow\-up capability \- Problem\-solving and analytical thinking
Qualification
\- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field \- 2\+ years of experience as Business Analyst in software projects
Preferred Experience
\- ERP / HRMS / Payroll systems \- Workflow and approval process applications \- Web and mobile application projects \- Agile or Scrum environment
