Business Analyst ( exp with Stock analysis/screening tool )

• *About the Role**

We are seeking a Business Analyst with 3–4 years of experience in investment screening, stock market analytics, and financial technology platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of equity markets, financial statements, and stock screening methodologies, coupled with expertise in requirement gathering and stakeholder management.The role involves working closely with Product, Technology, Data, and Investment Research teams to build and enhance stock analysis and screening tools that help investors identify and evaluate investment opportunities.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for investment research and stock screening platforms.
• Work with product and engineering teams to define and implement new features, screeners, dashboards, and analytics tools.
• Understand investor requirements and translate them into functional specifications and user stories.
• Analyze stock screening parameters including valuation, profitability, growth, leverage, and technical indicators.
• Define and validate business rules for financial metrics such as P/E, P/B, ROE, ROCE, EPS Growth, Revenue Growth, Debt\-to\-Equity, EBITDA, and Free Cash Flow.
• Create BRDs, FRDs, process flows, wireframes, use cases, and functional documentation.
• Conduct gap analysis and recommend enhancements to improve user experience and investment decision\-making.
• Collaborate with data teams to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial and market data.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management, and production releases.
• Monitor platform performance and gather feedback from investors and internal stakeholders for continuous improvement.

• *Required Skills \& Qualifications**

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–4 years of experience as a Business Analyst in FinTech, Investment Research, Wealth Management, Brokerage, Asset Management, or Capital Markets.
• Strong understanding of stock markets, equity investing, and company financial analysis.
• Hands\-on experience using stock screening and analysis platforms such as Screener.in, TradingView, Tickertape, Moneycontrol, or similar investment research tools.
• Knowledge of financial statements, valuation techniques, and key investment metrics.
• Experience in requirement gathering, stakeholder management, process mapping, and business documentation.
• Proficiency in Excel and SQL for data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC processes.

• *Preferred Qualifications**

• Exposure to equity research, portfolio analytics, or investment advisory platforms.
• Knowledge of APIs, financial data feeds, and market data integrations.
• CFA Level I/II, NISM Certifications, or equivalent financial market certifications are a plus.
• Experience working with Power BI, Tableau, or other BI tools is desirable.
