We are looking for a Business Development Engineer with experience in Defence sector marketing to identify business opportunities, develop customer relationships, promote company products/services, and support business growth in defence and government sectors.
- Identify new business opportunities in the Defence, Aerospace, and Government sectors.
- Develop and maintain relationships with defence organizations, PSUs, OEMs, integrators, and key stakeholders.
- Conduct market research and track upcoming defence projects, requirements, and procurement trends.
- Promote company products and solutions to defence customers and potential clients.
- Visit customers, understand technical requirements, and coordinate with internal teams for suitable solutions.
- Generate leads and manage the business opportunity pipeline.
- Support preparation of marketing presentations, product profiles, and customer proposals.
- Coordinate with technical, engineering, and commercial teams for customer requirements.
- Participate in defence exhibitions, seminars, customer meetings, and industry networking events.
- Collect customer feedback and provide market intelligence to management.
- Assist in tender identification, pre\-bid activities, and customer follow\-ups.
- Maintain regular communication with existing and prospective customers for business development.
- Knowledge of Defence sector business environment and government procurement process.
- Good understanding of customer handling and relationship management.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to understand technical products and communicate solutions to customers.
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings and business development activities.
- Good knowledge of MS Office tools.
- B.Tech/B.E.EEE/ECE/EIE and MBA Business Management / Marketing or equivalent.
- Experience in Defence, Aerospace, Engineering products, Power systems, or related industries preferred.
- Experience in dealing with Defence organizations, Defence PSUs, Armed Forces, or government customers.
- Exposure to products like DG sets, UPS, power systems, electronics, or defence equipment will be an advantage.
