Job Summary

We are looking for a hands\-on CCTV Installation \& Maintenance Technician to install, commission, troubleshoot and maintain CCTV cameras and related equipment for smart parking infrastructure projects across Bengaluru.

The candidate will work with IP cameras, network cables, PoE switches, power supplies and other field equipment. The role requires practical technical knowledge, willingness to travel to project sites and the ability to resolve equipment issues independently.

Key Responsibilities

1\. CCTV Installation

• Install and mount CCTV cameras on poles, walls and other designated locations.
• Handle camera mounting brackets, junction boxes, enclosures and related accessories.
• Install and route CAT6/network cables and electrical cables as required.
• Terminate RJ45 connectors and test network cables.
• Ensure correct camera positioning, angle, height and field of view.
• Assist with installation of network switches, PoE switches, power supplies and roadside equipment cabinets.
• Coordinate with civil and electrical teams during pole installation and equipment commissioning.

2\. Networking \& Camera Configuration

• Install and configure IP CCTV cameras.
• Configure camera IP addresses and basic network settings.
• Connect cameras to PoE switches and verify network connectivity.
• Troubleshoot cameras that are offline or not communicating with the central system.
• Perform basic network tests using ping, cable testers and other diagnostic tools.
• Assist with camera integration into the video management system (VMS) or smart parking platform.
• Understand basic TCP/IP, LAN, IP addressing and PoE networking.

3\. Maintenance \& Troubleshooting

• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance of installed cameras.
• Diagnose and resolve camera failures, network connectivity issues and power supply problems.
• Replace faulty cameras, connectors, cables, power supplies and other components.
• Check camera image quality, focus, viewing angle and night\-vision performance.
• Identify water ingress, loose connections, damaged cables and other outdoor installation issues.
• Respond to service requests and restore equipment within the required timeframe.
• Maintain records of equipment faults, repairs and replacement parts.

4\. Field Operations \& Reporting

• Travel to different smart parking project locations across Bengaluru.
• Conduct site inspections and verify installation readiness.
• Maintain daily installation and maintenance reports.
• Record camera serial numbers, IP addresses, locations and equipment details.
• Take site photographs before and after installation.
• Coordinate with the technical team and report unresolved issues.
• Follow safety procedures while working on roadside installations and elevated equipment.

Required Technical Skills

• Practical experience installing and maintaining CCTV cameras.
• Knowledge of IP cameras and basic CCTV systems.
• Experience with CAT6 cable termination and testing.
• Basic understanding of IP addressing, LAN and network switches.
• Knowledge of PoE switches and camera power requirements.
• Ability to use a LAN cable tester and basic electrical testing tools.
• Basic understanding of electrical safety and outdoor equipment installation.
• Ability to diagnose faults systematically rather than simply replacing equipment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with fibre\-optic connectivity and media converters.
• Familiarity with SFP modules and fibre network equipment.
• Experience with CCTV VMS platforms and remote camera monitoring.
• Experience with outdoor surveillance, traffic cameras or smart city projects.
• Familiarity with routers, network switches and basic troubleshooting commands.
• Knowledge of weatherproof enclosures, cable conduits and surge protection.

Additional Requirements

• ITI or Diploma qualification preferred.
• Two or more years of relevant hands\-on experience preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors and travel between project locations.
• Kannada communication skills preferred; basic English required.
• Valid two\-wheeler driving licence preferred.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with field teams.

Ideal Candidate

A practical, technically capable technician who can independently install a CCTV camera, terminate and test the cable, configure the camera, connect it to a PoE switch, verify connectivity and troubleshoot common power or network failures.

Candidates with experience in IP CCTV and networking will be preferred over candidates whose experience is limited to traditional analogue CCTV systems.

Pay: ₹25,000\.00 \- ₹35,000\.00 per month
