Certifying Inspector role under Operations Department takes care of engine inspection during maintenance, repair and overhaul including the borescope inspection and final Certificate of Release to Service (CRS) of the serviceable product (engine).

1\. Diploma in Aviation (AME course)/ Graduate in Mechanical/Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering (preferred)

2\.. Work experience in an engine MRO or as a licensed full scope AME (B1 license) on either LEAP\-1A or LEAP\-1B engines working for a scheduled airline with more than 8 years of experience.

3\. Team player with good leadership qualities

4\. Good communication and presentation skills

5\. Open and flexible to work at locations within or outside India and in shifts. Willingness to spend time at work on the shopfloor.

6\. Having a mindset of continuous improvement (Lean) in processes with willingness to do Kaizen projects (under guidance of Green belts or Black belts)

The detailed description of job role is as follows

  • Perform and certify detailed in\-depth inspection, dimensional checks of part, Engines, Modules, shop modules and accessories as per valid maintenance data.
  • Follow all instructions and procedures according to quality manuals and established inspection standards
  • Ensure that all calibrated tools are in good condition and verification checks conducted prior to every use.
  • Record the inspections performed in approved format and upload them into ERP.
  • Perform duplicate/independent inspection of the work performed as per technical quality procedures.
  • Ensure to maintain positive identification segregation as necessary
  • Prepare shop finding reports when non\-conformity identified and disposition actions closed in service orders.
  • Carry out Borescope inspections if applicable to certification ratings.
  • Conduct final inspections of module, engine prior final release.
  • Reporting significant defects, discrepancies, incidents, a c c i d e n t s and ambiguities as per established company procedures.
  • Ensure licenses, Authorization privileges are renewed on timely manner as per company and regulatory procedures.
  • The Engine/Module Certifying Staff Authorized by the Part\-145 organization to issue certificate of release to service (EASA/DGCA Form 1 or FAA 8130\-3\) after accomplishment of all maintenance work scope to the required standards and relevant valid maintenance data reports.
