CHIEF MANAGER

RM Insurance Broking Private Limited is seeking an experienced Chief Manager to lead its non\-motor underwriting function from the Jaipur office. The successful candidate will assess and place non\-motor risks, guide a team of junior underwriters, and support the sales and client servicing functions with sound technical judgement. This position is based in Rajasthan.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• *Risk Assessment and Underwriting**

• Evaluate and underwrite non\-motor risks, including property, liability and marine lines, in line with company guidelines and prevailing market trends.
• Analyse risks, coverage requirements and pricing to determine appropriate terms and conditions for clients.
• Ensure compliance with internal underwriting policies and applicable external regulations.

• *Team Leadership and Mentorship**

• Lead and mentor a team of junior underwriters, providing guidance and support on underwriting decisions and technical matters.
• Assist in training new team members on underwriting processes and best practices.

• *Client and Stakeholder Interaction**

• Support the sales and business development teams in understanding underwriting requirements and responding to complex client queries.
• Review and optimise pricing strategies, taking into account market conditions, competition and emerging risks.
• Engage with insurance companies to obtain bespoke products and contingent policies tailored to client needs.

• *Claims Support and Coordination**

• Collaborate with the claims team to ensure the underwriting process aligns with claims handling practices.
• Review claims trends and provide input on risk management strategies to help reduce future claims.

• *Market Research and Product Development**

• Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings and emerging risks to ensure underwriting practices remain competitive.
• Provide input into the development and refinement of insurance products.

• *Requirements**

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in non\-motor underwriting, with a focus on property, liability or marine lines of business.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Insurance, Finance or a related field.
• Relevant professional certifications, such as Associate or Fellowship of the Insurance Institute of India, are an advantage.
• Strong analytical and risk assessment skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
• In\-depth knowledge of the insurance industry, market dynamics, regulatory requirements and insurance products.
• Proficiency in underwriting software and MS Office.
• Ability to communicate effectively with insurance companies to arrange bespoke and contingent policies.

• *Compensation and Location**

• Annual package of 8 to 10 LPA.
• Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan.
