• *About the Role**

We are looking for a **Cloud Engineer** with 2 to 4 years of hands\-on experience to join our growing cloud modernization team. In this role, you will work closely with senior engineers, project managers, and prospective clients to design, deploy, and maintain production\-grade cloud solutions in virtualized environments. You will also leverage modern AI tools to accelerate IAC development, streamline CI/CD pipelines, and diagnose complex cloud infrastructure issues.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• **Client Engagement \& Solutioning:** Partner with sales leads to deliver technical pitches, architectural blueprints, and cloud modernization proposals. Consult with clients on automation, landing zones, and migration strategies.
• **Pre\-Sales \& Estimation:** Evaluate client cloud environments, compliance needs, and migration bottlenecks to provide accurate workload sizing and technical inputs for Statement of Works (SOWs).
• **Project Support \& Delivery:** Support senior engineers on 2 to 3 simultaneous client projects, facilitating clear technical communication between client engineering teams and project managers.
• **Architecture \& Modernization:** Assist in building in\-depth cloud strategies and refactoring monolithic applications into microservices, APIs, and serverless models (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Lambda).
• **AI\-Augmented Operations:** Utilize AI coding and diagnostic assistants (Gemini, GitHub Copilot, Claude) to rapidly author and validate Terraform modules, Dockerfiles, Kubernetes manifests, and maintenance scripts.
• **Incident Management \& Observability:** Troubleshoot outages, perform AI\-assisted log analysis, implement root\-cause fixes, and establish preventive measures using Google Cloud Monitoring, Datadog, or Prometheus/Grafana.
• **Execution \& Ownership:** Independently design and complete medium\-to\-large technical tasks given context, conduct peer code reviews, and document infrastructure best practices.
• **Security \& Compliance:** Manage and audit cloud environments in alignment with internal and client security policies and compliance standards.

• *Technical Requirements**

• **OS \& Scripting:** Strong Linux administration skills (Debian, RedHat) and proficiency in scripting/programming (Python, Node.js, Bash, and preferably Go).
• **Cloud \& Virtualization:** Proven experience architecting and deploying production\-grade cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other major public clouds.
• **Containers \& Orchestration:** Solid experience with Kubernetes (GKE), Docker, Service Mesh (Istio), and API Management (API Gateway).
• **Infrastructure as Code (IaC):** Hands\-on automation experience using Terraform (Google Provider preferred).
• **CI/CD Pipelines:** Design and execution experience with CI tools (Google Cloud Build, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI) and CD tools (Google Cloud Deploy, ArgoCD, Spinnaker).
• **Databases \& Version Control:** Good understanding of open\-source and managed SQL/NoSQL databases, along with proficiency in Git workflows (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
• **Observability:** Experience with Google Cloud Monitoring \& Logging, Prometheus/Grafana, Datadog, or New Relic.

• *Certifications (Preferred)**

• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
