Job Description
- *Location:** On\-site based at our office in Gurgaon, Delhi.
Occasional travel within India, with opportunities for international travel to the UK, including visits to VHQ for annual conferences and other business requirements.
- *Hours:** Full Time, 37\.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday
- *Contract Type:** Permanent
- *Salary:** Competitive

As **Commercial Manager \- India**, you’ll lead our in\-market sales activity across India, helping us grow passenger and ancillary revenue while protecting margin and cost of sale. You’ll bring the India Country Sales Plan to life through thoughtful account development, strong trade engagement, disciplined pipeline management and targeted commercial activity. Working closely with Revenue Management, Marketing, Finance, Global Sales and regional teams, you’ll turn strategy into clear local action that supports our route, cabin mix and growth priorities.
- *Day to day**

- Lead delivery of the India Country Sales Plan, supporting passenger and ancillary revenue targets across the market.
- Build and grow strategic relationships with agency, corporate and trade partners, positioning Virgin Atlantic as a preferred long\-haul carrier.
- Manage pipeline, forecasting and account performance through tools such as SFDC, using insight to spot risks, opportunities and next steps.
- Partner with Revenue Management and Marketing to shape pricing, promotions, tactical incentives and campaign activity that deliver strong commercial returns.
- Optimise channel mix across direct, indirect and partnership sales, keeping a close eye on competitor activity and market trends.
- Lead, coach and support the sales team, creating clear goals, regular performance conversations and a culture of ownership, inclusion and continuous improvement.

You’ll be a commercially confident and inclusive leader who enjoys turning strategy into action, bringing people with you and using insight to create sustainable growth.
- You have strong sales experience, ideally within travel, aviation or a similarly fast\-moving commercial environment.
- You’re comfortable leading a team, coaching others and helping colleagues build confidence, capability and clear performance focus.
- You can build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, internal teams and external partners, and you’re confident negotiating in a way that protects value and strengthens long\-term partnerships.
- You enjoy working with data, forecasts and commercial insight to make sound decisions, improve performance and manage cost of sale carefully.
- You communicate clearly and thoughtfully, adapting your style for different audiences while staying calm, collaborative and focused on shared outcomes.
