Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Design Engineer with 4–6 years of experience in industrial robotics, automation systems, and customized machinery design.

The candidate will be responsible for developing mechanical designs, creating detailed 3D models and 2D drawings, designing robotic cells and automation equipment, and supporting engineering activities from design through manufacturing and assembly.

Key Responsibilities

• *1\. Mechanical Design \& Development**

• Develop mechanical designs for industrial automation systems and robotic applications.
• Design robotic cells, machine structures, fixtures, jigs, conveyors, and material handling systems.
• Prepare detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings.
• Ensure designs meet project specifications and functional requirements.
• Modify and improve existing designs based on engineering requirements.

• *2\. 3D Modelling \& CAD**

• Create 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Prepare detailed fabrication, machining, and assembly drawings.
• Perform interference checks, motion studies, and design validation.
• Apply GD\&T and engineering standards while preparing drawings.
• Maintain proper design documentation and revision records.

• *3\. Robotics \& Automation**

• Work on mechanical design and integration of industrial robotic systems.
• Design robot mounting structures, end effectors, grippers, fixtures, and positioning systems.
• Understand robot reach, payload, working envelope, and application requirements.
• Support robotic simulation and validation using relevant software.
• Coordinate with robotics and automation teams during system integration.

• *4\. Engineering \& Manufacturing Support**

• Coordinate with manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, and project teams.
• Resolve design\-related issues during manufacturing and assembly.
• Ensure designs are practical, safe, and suitable for manufacturing.
• Incorporate engineering changes and customer feedback.
• Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities when required.

Required Qualifications

• BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.
• 4–6 years of experience in mechanical design, industrial automation, or robotics.
• Strong hands\-on experience in SolidWorks.
• Good understanding of machine design and industrial manufacturing processes.

Technical Skills

• **Mandatory:** SolidWorks – Part Modelling, Assembly, and 2D Drawing.
• Knowledge of industrial automation and robotic applications.
• Understanding of fixtures, jigs, conveyors, grippers, and machine structures.
• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, servo systems, sensors, and safety systems.
• Understanding of GD\&T, machining, fabrication, and manufacturing processes.
• Exposure to robotic simulation software such as ABB, FANUC, KUKA, or Yaskawa is an advantage.
