• *Role Overview**

We are looking for an experienced SAP BTP / ABAP Developer to build and modernize applications and workflows on SAP Business Technology Platform, while integrating with our existing SAP ECC landscape.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in SAP ECC and traditional ABAP, and strong hands\-on experience with the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) on the SAP BTP ABAP Environment, which is a key requirement for this role. You will also work with SAP Fiori, SAP Build Process Automation, SAP Build Apps, and SAP Build Work Zone, and integrate with ECC using OData/REST, Cloud Connector, and destinations.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• Design and develop applications and services using SAP BTP ABAP Environment and RAP.
• Build RAP business objects, CDS views, behavior definitions/implementations, actions, validations, and OData services.
• Design solutions where business rules and transactional logic are implemented within the RAP/business layer.
• Develop and support SAP Fiori applications integrated with RAP/OData services.
• Build workflow and approval processes using SAP Build Process Automation.
• Configure and integrate applications with SAP Build Work Zone / SAP Task Center for user access and approval activities.
• Support integration between SAP BTP applications and SAP ECC.
• Understand existing ECC ABAP programs, function modules, BAPIs/RFCs, tables, enhancements, and interfaces to support modernization initiatives.
• Troubleshoot application, workflow, data, and integration issues across BTP and ECC.
• Participate in solution design and architecture discussions for application modernization.
• Work closely with functional teams, SAP developers, integration teams, and enterprise architects.

• *Required Technical Skills**

• *Must Have**

• Strong hands\-on in **SAP BTP RAP** and **SAP ABAP** development experience.
• Good understanding of **SAP ECC architecture and traditional ABAP development**.
• Strong hands\-on experience with **ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP)**. **This is a key requirement.**
• Experience with:

+ RAP Business Objects

+ Behavior Definitions and Implementations

+ RAP Actions / Validations

+ OData services

+ SAP BTP ABAP Environment

• Experience developing or supporting **SAP Fiori** applications.
• Working knowledge of **SAP Build Process Automation**.
• Experience with **SAP Build Work Zone** and/or SAP Task Center.
• Understanding of SAP BTP application security, authentication, roles, and authorizations.

• *Preferred**

• SAP Build Apps experience.
• SAP Integration Suite experience.
• SAP Event Mesh / event\-driven integration knowledge.
• Experience integrating BTP applications with SAP ECC.
• Knowledge of SAP HANA / HANA Cloud.
• Experience with Finance\-related SAP processes and applications.
• Experience modernizing traditional SAP/ECC solutions onto SAP BTP.
