• *Role Overview**

We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and proven **Senior SAP S/4 Datasphere Engineer** to drive the design, development, and implementation of our next\-generation data and analytics platform. The ideal candidate will blend deep technical expertise in **SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and S/4HANA** data structures with strong **leadership abilities** to guide a small team of engineers. This role is pivotal in managing client expectations, mentoring team members, and ensuring successful project delivery using **Agile methodologies**.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• *Technical Design and Development**

• Design and implement robust data models, views, and data flows within **SAP Datasphere** (including the SAP BW Bridge) to support enterprise\-wide analytics.
• Develop and implement **SAC Stories, Dashboards, and Analytical Applications** for reporting and planning based on Datasphere models.
• Utilize **S/4HANA Embedded Analytics** and native data modeling (CDS Views) for efficient data extraction and virtualization.
• Possess strong knowledge of **SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)** data services and capabilities, including how **Datasphere** and related services fit into the broader **Business Data Cloud** architecture.
• Support and maintain existing solutions built on traditional SAP BI tools, including **SAP BW**, **SAP Analysis for Office (AO)**, and **SAP BusinessObjects (BoBJ)** suite.

• *Team Leadership and Mentoring**

• **Manage a small team** of SAP BW and Datasphere Engineers, overseeing their daily tasks, resource allocation, and performance.
• **Guide and mentor** junior and mid\-level engineers, fostering their growth in modern SAP BTP and Datasphere capabilities.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices, security standards, and governance policies.

• *Stakeholder and Project Management**

• Act as the primary technical point of contact, **managing clients and business stakeholders** to translate complex business requirements into clear, executable technical roadmaps and deliverables.
• Proactively manage project scope, timelines, and technical risks, communicating status effectively to stakeholders.
• Lead the team using **Agile ways of working** (e.g., Scrum/Kanban), including sprint planning, daily stand\-ups, and retrospectives, ensuring continuous, iterative delivery.
• Actively participate in **S/4HANA migration projects**, focusing on the seamless transition of BI/Analytics capabilities.

• *Required Skills and Qualifications**

• **Total Professional Experience:** 6\-8 years in SAP Data Warehousing, BI, and Analytics.
• **Relevant Experience:** Minimum 5 years of hands\-on experience in SAP BI/Data Engineering roles.
• **Team Leadership:** Proven experience **managing or leading a small team** of technical SAP resources (BW/Datasphere).
• **Stakeholder Management:** Demonstrated ability to interact with, manage expectations of, and present solutions to **clients and senior business stakeholders**.
• **Project Methodology:** Familiarity and experience working within **Agile/Scrum** project frameworks.
• **Core Technical:** Strong design and implementation experience with **SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)** (Stories/Planning), and experience in an **S/4HANA migration project**.
• **SAP Data Landscape Knowledge:** Familiarity with **SAP Business Data Cloud** concepts and the integration of **Datasphere** within the **SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)**.
• **Legacy BI Tools:** Deep understanding of **SAP BW** modeling (7\.x/BW/4HANA) and reporting tools like **AO** and **BoBJ**.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem\-solving skills.

• *Preferred Qualifications and Certifications**

• **SAP Certification** in **SAP Datasphere** or **SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)**.
• SAP Certified Application Associate \- **SAP S/4HANA Migration** or **SAP S/4HANA Embedded Analytics**.
• Familiarity with other SAP BTP services (e.g., Data Integration, CAP, Fiori).
• Experience with other public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
