Corporate Accounting (International Statutory Reporting – Japan)

• *Job Description**

We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant with strong Japanese language proficiency and experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting and taxation to support Japan\-based entities within a global financial services organization.

The role involves working closely with finance teams and stakeholders across Japan, India and the United States to ensure accurate and timely statutory reporting, accounting and tax compliance.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• Prepare financial reports under US GAAP and Japanese GAAP (JGAAP).
• Handle journal entries, monthly balance sheet reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
• Support quarterly and annual statutory financial reporting.
• Coordinate Japanese tax compliance, VAT reporting, reconciliations and transfer pricing activities.
• Liaise with Japan\-based stakeholders, external auditors and tax advisors.
• Support financial and tax audits, intercompany reconciliations and regulatory reporting.
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable, Treasury and global finance teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls and reporting efficiency.

• *Mandatory Skills**

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
• 6–9 years of relevant experience in Finance \& Accounting.
• Japanese language proficiency equivalent to JLPT N1; reading, writing and speaking skills are mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting and taxation.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and JGAAP.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• *Good to Have**

• Experience in financial services or asset management.
• Knowledge of Japanese tax and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion, OneStream or Power BI.
• Exposure to international statutory reporting and intercompany accounting.

• *Shift Timings**

8:00 AM–5:00 PM or 9:00 AM–6:00 PM.

Pay: ₹300,000\.00 \- ₹500,000\.00 per month
