It unites us, inspires us, and challenges us to be better every day, driven by our agile, performance\-focused culture. **About the role** The Cost Visibility \& Chargeback Lead is a specialist role within Haleon’s Digital \& Technology (D\&T) organisation, accountable for providing clear, consistent and trusted visibility of D\&T costs and for designing and operating effective showback / chargeback frameworks The role ensures D\&T and business leaders have a transparent understanding of where technology spend is occurring, what drives it, and how consumption translates into cost, enabling better decision‑making, cost control and optimisation. Working closely with Finance Operations, central Finance, Portfolio \& Performance Leads and Delivery teams, the role establishes standard cost models, allocation principles and reporting views, and continuously improves the way D\&T cost transparency supports outcomes rather than creating friction. **Role purpose** To enable informed decision‑making, accountability and cost optimisation across D\&T by providing end‑to‑end cost visibility and fair, transparent chargeback/showback mechanisms, aligned to D\&T’s operating and delivery model. **Key accountabilities** The Cost Visibility \& Chargeback Lead is accountable for: * Providing clear and consistent visibility of D\&T costs across run, change, platforms, products and services * Owning and operating D\&T showback / chargeback frameworks, aligned to agreed principles * Defining standard cost models, allocation rules and cost drivers aligned to the D\&T Service Catalog * Enabling cost‑informed decision‑making across portfolio planning, delivery and operations * Ensuring alignment between D\&T cost views and Finance reporting * Driving continuous improvement, automation and simplification of cost transparency processes **Key responsibilities** **1\. End‑to‑End Cost Visibility** * In partnership with central finance, own and maintain a single, trusted view of D\&T costs, covering operational and delivery spend. * Ensure costs are consistently categorised (e.g. run vs change, platform, product, service, consumption). * Improve transparency of cost drivers and consumption patterns for D\&T and business stakeholders. **2\. Chargeback / Showback Model Ownership** * Design and maintain D\&T chargeback and/or showback mechanisms, aligned to enterprise principles and business needs. * Ensure cost allocation approaches are fair, transparent, explainable and consistently applied. * Evolve chargeback models as D\&T platforms, products and operating models mature. **3\. Standard Costing Frameworks \& Methods** * Define and maintain standard cost models, allocation rules and unit cost drivers. * Ensure costing approaches are simple enough to be understood by non‑finance stakeholders. * Maintain clear documentation of assumptions, logic and calculation methods**.** **4\. Financial Insight \& Decision Support** * Provide actionable insight into cost trends, drivers, variances and optimisation opportunities. * Support leadership discussions on investment trade‑offs, demand management and cost optimisation. * Translate financial data into clear narratives, not just reports. **5\. Partnership with Finance \& Delivery** * Work closely with Finance Operations, FP\&A and central Finance to ensure alignment of actuals, forecasts and allocations. * Partner with Portfolio, Performance and Delivery teams to ensure cost visibility aligns with delivery outcomes and value. * Reduce reconciliation effort by aligning data, definitions and reporting cycles. **6\. Cost Governance, Controls \& Compliance** * Ensure cost visibility and chargeback processes comply with financial controls, audit and governance requirements. * Provide auditable documentation of cost models, allocation logic and data sources. * Support internal and external audit activity where required. **7\. Reporting \& Stakeholder Communication** * Deliver consistent, executive‑ready reporting on D\&T costs, allocations and consumption. * Educate stakeholders on chargeback/showback principles and how behaviours drive cost. * Act as a trusted point of contact for cost transparency and chargeback‑related queries**.** **8\.
