As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. Develop comprehensive test plans that outline the scope, objectives, and test strategies for various software projects.
Create detailed test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios based on project requirements and user stories.
Manually execute test cases, document defects, and verify bug fixes in various stages of the software development lifecycle.
Perform regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
Report, track, and manage defects using bug tracking tools, and collaborate with the development team to resolve issues.
Prepare and maintain test data, ensuring it accurately represents real\-world scenarios.
Maintain up\-to\-date test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
Work closely with cross\-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and product managers, to understand project
requirements and quality goals.
Set up and configure test environments to replicate production conditions.
Ensure that testing follows industry best practices and quality assurance standards.
Must have experience on at least one test management tool (For example, JIRA)
Good to have knowledge/experience on UKG (Kronos).
Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and teams members, to
perform business analysis and produce relevant acceptance criteria.
Work collaboratively in multi\-disciplinary teams to deliver software development projects.
Provide continuous feedback on the product and process as required by the team.
Active participation in R\&D initiatives
Good to have functional knowledge on Kronos Basic Modules like Timekeeping, Accruals, Basic Scheduler.
Good to have knowledge on Business Structures in Workforce Dimensions.
Mandatory Experience in Migration from WFC to Pro WFM
7\+ years of IT experience and primarily in test automation role.
Minimum 4\+ years of experience in Tosca Automation testing.
Mandatory Experience in Migration from WFC to Pro WFM
Hands on exp in using Navigator, Paragon Transfer Manager, Data Migration Tool
Good to Have\- Experience using validator.
Should be able to manage large engagement.
Experienced working on various verticals (Retail, MFG, Healthcare etc.)
Good to have UI Path automation testing skill.
Applied knowledge in databases (ORACLE, SQL Server, Postgres etc.)
Exposure towards STLC (Agile \& Waterfall models)
Ready to work in shifts.
